Areas of rehabilitation services include but are not limited to:
- Physiotherapy assessment and treatment for general neuro-musculoskeletal injuries, post-operative rehabilitation and other chronic conditions: Whether it’s a sports injury, acute or chronic sprain/strain, need for post-operative rehabilitation for total joint replacements (arthroplasties), muscle/ tendon/ ligament surgical repairs, back surgeries or mild-traumatic brain/concussion injuries, our team of skilled and experienced physiotherapists are equipped to manage these conditions with the latest evidence-informed practices to assist with successful and timely recovery.
- Soft tissue and Neuropathic Pain Management: We offer evidence-based physiotherapeutic modalities for soft tissue and neuropathic pain management. We offer modalities like Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation, cupping therapy, acupuncture in conjunction with customized and tailored recommendations on activity modifications, physical exercises and education to help patients alleviate both acute and chronic pain, to help improve their quality of life.
- Work-Related Injury Rehabilitation: Our Rehabilitation Services Team has expertise in assessing and treating individuals who have sustained injuries in the workplace and assist with successful and sustainable returns to the workplace.
- Outpatient Based Geriatric Rehabilitation for Healthy Aging: Rehabilitation Services will also provide comprehensive rehabilitation to community seniors recovering from an acute crisis, living with frailty or as a preventative rehabilitation when diagnosed with pre-frailty. With our current challenges in healthcare, we support provincial guidelines and philosophy of improving functioning for older adults, maximizing their independence and improve their quality of life in their home by using education and exercise-based rehabilitation programs aimed at promoting healthy aging, maintaining independence, and improving overall physical well-being.
- Biomechanical Assessments, Customized Fitness Programs, Functional movement screen and Y-Balance testing: Rehabilitation Services offers comprehensive assessments with our experienced and trained Kinesiologist to evaluate biomechanical and movement dysfunctions, muscle asymmetry and other postural issues that may be causing pain and other musculoskeletal disorders, impacting sports performance, causing pain and discomfort etc. Based on a comprehensive evaluation, our Kinesiologist can build you a customized, exercise-based rehabilitation regime to help improve mobility, improve sports performance, build strength and alleviate pain.
